legacymush.Born on a ranch in Keroon that specialized in oxen and cattle, Amerigo is a tough-talkin' goldrider not far removed from her roots despite how far she's come. An only child, she worked the land with her cousins as a girl in the free-range style currently in favor with the Master Herder; perhaps that's why she was allowed to walk the tables. Already an exception to the rules, she had an eye to specialize and claw her way to a Master's Knot in bloodlines; that changed when she impressed the Igen Queen, Zotzilath.
The youngest of the queen's riders at Igen, Amerigo and Zotzilath's arrival at Eastern Caucus can be seen as the just the latest move by Igen to polish their competitive edge. Or perhaps you can put stock in the rumors that Weyrwoman Arinya considers the agression of the pair to be too uncouth for a goldrider and hopes that a heavy load of etiquette classes will teach her youngest rider some humility.
